Histology

DPMG’s superior quality histology services enable pathologists to make their diagnoses with a high degree of confidence. We offer a wide range of conventional as well as immunohistochemical stains, and have the ability to perform immunofluorescence stains on frozen tissue. We have consistently maintained CAP accreditation and rigorous quality assurance measures are continuously applied to all laboratory operations.

Routine Services

  • Same Day and Overnight tissue processing, including same day and overnight Moh’s protocol
  • ASCO compliant breast core processing
  • Paraffin embedding
  • Cutting and H&E staining
  • Slide-only services (for clinicians choosing to read their own slides)

Special Stains

  • Over 30 special stains for structures and organisms, including many silver stains
  • May Grunwald-Giemsa stain for bone marrow smears and fine needle aspirations
  • PAP stain for conventional and liquid based gynecological and non-gyn (body fluid) samples

Immunohistochemistry using the Leica & Ventana platforms

Our wide array of cell markers (currently over 115 antibodies) aids pathologists in:

  • Classification of lymphomas and leukemias
  • Identification of infectious agents (CMV, herpes)
  • Measurement of oncogene overexpression (Her-2 neu)

We can also work up antibodies provided to us for testing and research purposes.
